Warren Newberry

Jr.Thomas Warren Newberry Jr., 76, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at his home.Warren was retired Lt. Colonel of the U.S. Army Reserves. Warren was a graduate of UT Knoxville with a degree in mechanical engineering and retired from TVA. He was a very active and faithful member of Gideons International, Chattanooga North Camp. He is a member of Red Bank Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the American Legion.Survivors include his wife, Chris Newberry; daughters, Miranda Newberry, of Boston, Mass., and Joan Newberry, of Deland, Fla.; sons: T. (Jan) Newberry, of Deland, Fla., Clift (Robin) Newberry, of Jacksonville, Fla., Shaun Newberry, of Lenoir City, Tenn., and Jonathan Newberry, of Friendsville, Tenn.; stepsons, Randy (Terry) Griffith, of Huntsville, Ala., and Jason (Melissa) Mitchellm of Chattanooga; sister, Mary Katherine Bowlesm of Nashville; 15 grandchildren; two nephews, David (Monica) Bowles, of Charlotte, N.C. and Preston (Nancy) Bowles, of Cincinnati, Ohio.Special thanks to our granddaughter, Kirsten Mitchell with whom we enjoyed our life.Especially grateful to Dr. Charles Portera Jr. and his nurse, Deana the nurses and staff at Memorial Hospital and Hospice of Chattanooga nurse, Doug Allbritton.Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013 at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace with Rev.
