WEST ARMUCHEE Melba Cantrell Yother, 85, died Thursday, July 18, 2013.Preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Buford Yother; parents, Marcus Avery and Viola Nuckolls Cantrell; one sister; three brothers; and one son-in-law, Donnie Bohannon.Survived by daughters, Joan Bohannon, of Silver Creek; Kathy and husband, David Shields, of Subligna; son, Rudy and wife, Rita Yother, of LaFayette; sister, Margaret and husband, Bill Newton, of LaFayette; brother, Ronnie and wife, Diane Cantrell, of Dalton; grandchildren, Chris (Cassie) Bohannon, Haley (Andy) Gee, Adam (Casey) Shields and Jessica Yother; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.Funeral from the Wallis Memorial Chapel at 2 p.m. Sunday. Service conducted by Rev. David Autry.Pallbearers are Stacey Gray, Eddie Walker, Adam Shields, Chris Bohannon, Kevin Newton and Doug Wells.Interment in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today.The arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
