Jerry Cox

Jerry Edward Cox, 66, of Georgetown, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 18, 2013, from a local hospital.He served his country in the U.S. Navy and retired from DuPont after 38 years of service.Jerry was an active Bowler and was a member of the Greater Chattanooga Bowling Association. He also loved traveling in the motor home, camping, fishing and NASCAR racing.He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Jewell and Herman Cox.He is survived by his wife, Pamela Christina Cox, of Georgetown; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Russell (Jennette) Cox, of Ooltewah; stepson, Tolbert Crowell, of Georgetown; one brother, Russell Lamar Cox, of Georgetown; two grandchildren, Dylan Reliance Cox and Emma Claire Blainey; one niece, Amy Sue Coffman; three nephews, Edward Lamar Cox, Jeffery Arthur Cox and Trent Braxton Cox.The family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. on Monday, July 22, and during the day on Tuesday up to 2 p.m. at the Highway 58 chapel of Turner Funeral Home or you may visit the online guestbook @ www.turnerfamilyfuneralhome.com.The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, t the graveside in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
