R.H. "Achie" Aslinger, 71, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2013, in his home.He regularly attended the Soddy Church of Christ since the recent passing of his beloved wife, Linda, of 48 years. Achie was rigorous in every task he undertook, patiently working to achieve his goals and unwilling to accept less than he thought possible. He maintained friendships from childhood and beyond that were very dear to him. Achie had many other strong attributes that all who knew him are well aware.He is survived by son, Scott (Kim) Aslinger; daughter, Amy McClure; grandchildren, Megan, Abby and Zach Aslinger, Noah and Hannah McClure; brother, Jerry Aslinger. We love you Pa and Nana!A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013 in the funeral home chapel and will be followed by the interment of Achie and Linda at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Minister Bill Greer officiating.
