Hortense Traylor

LaFAYETTE Hortense Traylor, 58, passed away Monday evening, Nov. 25, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Nathaniel Traylor and Ruth White Traylor. Her grandparents, Wilson White and Viola White, Phil Lee Traylor and Doris Traylor preceded her in death. Hortense Traylor attended Hill High School and was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. She is the sister of Charles "Jackie" (Bernetta) Pender, of Summerville, Joan (Kenneth) Campbell, of Chattanooga, Samuel L. (Freda) Traylor Sr. and Judy Davis; uncle, the Rev. Dr. Donald (Shirley) White, of LaFayette; aunt, Ella White; special cousin, Monyetta Ervin, of Chattanooga; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Celebration of life for Hortense Traylor will be at 3 p.m. today in the chapel with Dr. Donald White and other ministers officiating. Her family will receive friends at 1 p.m. today until the funeral home. Interment: Naomi Cemetery.
