David Rhodes

Robert David Rhodes, 73, of Chattanooga passed away on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at a local hospital.David was a graduate of The University of Kentucky with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering. He was employed at DuPont as a Nylon BCF Technical Service Representative and retired in 2002 after 42 years of service. David was a faithful member of Middle Valley Church of Christ.He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Kate Rhodes; and his sister, Alice Sartin.Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Rosa D. Rhodes; children, Annette (Roberto) Rojas, Amber (Christian) Maniscalco; grandchildren, Mariela Rojas, Alex Rojas, Stephen Maniscalco, and Isabella Maniscalco; sister, Nancy Rhodes; brother, Edward Rhodes, and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today, Oct. 6, 2013, at the funeral home chapel with Minister Larry Clements officiating.The family will receive friends for visitation from 1 to 3 p.m. today at the funeral home prior to the service.In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to be made to Volunteers in Medicine, P.O.
