Troy Crabtree

ESTILL SPRINGS Troy William Crabtree, 87, departed this life on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at his residence. Mr. Crabtree was born March 10, 1926 in Henagar, Ala., to the late William and Allie Harris Crabtree. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving his country during WWII and the Korean War. Mr. Crabtree was retired from A.E.D.C. where he made his career as a boilermaker. Mr. Crabtree was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Estill Springs. He was a loving, caring and devoted husband, father, brother and grandfather. Mr. Crabtree was preceded in death by his brothers; Clifford and Durwood Crabtree. Mr. Crabtree is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lois Crabtree, of Estill Springs; daughter, Karen (Bobby) Spencer, of Winchester, Tenn.; son, Donald (Cherie) Crabtree, of Roswell, Ga.; brother Willard (Judy) Crabtree, of Ider, Ala.; grandchildren, Lee Spencer, Lindsey Spencer, Ben Crabtree, Sarah Crabtree and Luke Crabtree, nieces, Devonia Belcher and Kelley Briner, nephew, Scott Crabtree and a host of friends.Graveside services will be held for Mr. Crabtree at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Franklin Memorial Gardens in Winchester with Bro.
