Glenda Smith

Glenda Sue "Susie" Smith, 69, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, Oct. 3, 2013, at her home in Bullhead City, Ariz. She was a loving mother, wife, sister and grandmother and although she departs us in body, the warmness of her spirit never will. She was creative; an artist, songwriter, and musician. She could be quite funny and some of our fondest memories will be of her laughter and in the remembrance of the countless stories she passed on to us throughout the years. Susie was born on March 13, 1944 in Chattanooga, and lived most of her life in the area. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Ernest Smith; a brother, Billy Watts; and her mother and father, Maebelle Thompson and Tommy Watts. She is survived by her children, Veretta Britt, of Bullhead City, Ariz., Jack Smith, of Atlanta, and Tom Smith, of Clearwater, Fla.; and by her loving brothers and sisters, Patricia Padgett, Carolyn Guess, Tommy Watts, Leon Watts, Bobby Watts, Sheila Watts, Alice Owens and Nancy Beavers. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jeremy, Christen, Robert, Dustin, Tabitha, Taylor, Sydney and Jordan. Among the many that will miss her are her great-grandchildren and so many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Invitations to all her family and friends to celebrate her life in a private ceremony will follow. We love, honor, and miss you already.
