James Hamill

James Fred Hamill, 69, passed away Monday April 28, 2014. A lifelong resident of the Ringgold area, he was a former employee of Talley Construction where he worked for over 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard David and Mable Shirley Hullender Hamill; son, David Hamill and brother, Keith Hamill. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Cordell Hamill Hunt, of Defuniak Springs, Fla;, two sons, Travis Hamill (Amanda Bedford), of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., and William Hamill, of Defuniak Springs, Fla.; sister, Helen Marie Hullender, of Ringgold, Ga.; brother, Kenneth (Barbara) Hamill, of Fort Oglethorpe; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Anderson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-9 p.m. today and Thursday until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
