Ruby Foister

Ruby Lee Foister, 93, went home to be in the presence of her Lord and her God surrounded by her family and friends on Sunday, April 27, 2014. She was a member of the North Cleveland Church of God. She was a life member of Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. She was a graduate of Parker High School in Greenville, S.C. and attended Cleveland State Community College. She was a charter member of Woodside Church of God in Greenville, S.C., where she was a former Sunday school teacher and a member of the ladies groups. She was also a PTA president and held many other positions in local schools in Greenville, S.C. She was a member of the Chairman Circle of the Christian Broadcasting Network and was a contributor to other ministries. Mrs. Foister was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, William Randolph Foister; parents, Lewis W. Keith and Ida Land Keith; half-brothers, James L. Keith and Harold L. Keith. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Warrington and husband, Don, of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014, at the Dixon Chapel of North Cleveland Church of God with Dr. G. Dennis McGuire and Pastor Ruthi Souders conducting the service. Interment will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2014, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Leonard C. Albert officiating along with Dr. G. Dennis McGuire. Pallbearers will be Jim Huff, Robin Greenwood, Bill Loyd, Ed Brown, Joe Lovell and Jed Roueche. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the church prior to the service. The family suggests memorials be made to the North Cleveland Church Building Fund, 335 11th Street, NE, Cleveland, TN 37311.
