Enos Brown

Enos Brown, 87, of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, January 5, 2014, in a local hospital after a brief illness surrounded by family. He was born to the late Joe Brown and Mary Knight Brown on May 4, 1926. He was retired from Fillauer after 55 years of faithful service. Enos was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Jones Green Brown; parents, Joe and Mary Knight Brown; brothers, Willie Brown, Alan Flim Dickerson, sisters, Mary Elizabeth Ratliff and Eula Dickerson; and grandsons, Paul Calvin Baker, Eric Baker, and Paul Cedric Baker. Enos leaves his dreams, his life and his hopes, to be remembered by his family: eight sons, John (Barbara) Brown, Chattanooga; Martin L. (Phyllis) Green, Smyrna, Del., Marvin L. Green, Brooklyn, N.Y., Marshal L. Greene (Norma) Kissimmee, Fla., Milton L. Green, Roanoke Rapids, N.C., Maurice L. (Angela) Green, Newport News, Va., Major L. Green and Murphy L. (Verlinda) Green, both of Chattanooga; five daughters, Mrs. Edith B. Kight, Mrs. Mattie G. Fowlkes, Mrs. Mable G. Baker, Mrs. Mary L. (Oliver) Baker, Mrs. Maude G. Hambright all of Chattanooga. He had 48 grandchildren;, 85 great-grandchildren; 40 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. today at Taylor Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at noon Saturday, Jan. 10, 2014, in Hamilton Memorial Gardens on Highway 153 with Deacon Milton Green officiating. He is at peace no longer in this world. The human person we knew is now without a care. Remember his life when he was full of breath, his smile, his happiness, for now he is in his glory away from all his frets. He will be dearly missed. The impact he had on our lives will truly be remembered.
