John Willard Whitley, 77, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, at his residence. Survivors include daughter, Sandra Phillips; grandchildren, Christy Phillips, Tony Phillips and Misty Bachman; great-grandchildren, Sky, Star, Samantha, Hunter and Nevah; sister, Faye (Roy) Gentry; brothers, Michael (Darlene) Whitley, Oren (Jessie Mae) Whitley; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 1 p.m. CST Saturday at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Park.
