Charlotte Blackburn

Charlotte Blackburn, 98, of Chattanooga, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 20, 2014, in a local healthcare facility. She was a member of Warren Chapel A.M.E. Church where she served on the Pastors Aide and Senior Citizen Committee. She was preceded in death by her siblings, R.C. Fowlkes, Martha Pennington, Juanita Jones, Goree Fowlkes Jr. and Margaret Carisle. Survivors: sister, Pearl Billingsley; brother-in-law, Fred Jones; sister-in-law, Lula Fowlkes; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The body will lie-in-state after 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Taylor Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at noon in the chapel with Pastor Gary Hathaway as the eulogist.
