Mary Garner

Mary Page Garner, 96, of Chattanooga, passed away March 25, 2014 at a local nursing home. She was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ada Hammonds; sister, Martha McLemore; brothers, Jim Hammonds and Dillard Warren. Survivors include a devoted nephew, Willie (Imogene) Hammonds; and a host of other nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Forest Hills Cemetery. The family will assemble at 12 p.m. at the funeral home for the procession to the cemetery on Tuesday. The body will lie in state after 12 p.m. today at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
