Virginia Smallen

Virginia White Smallen, 87, departed from this earth on Saturday, March 29, 2014 and now resides in heaven. She was employed with the U. S. Government Federal Telecommunications Agency before her retirement in 1979. Jenny loved to dance; she was always the bright spot at any gathering she attended. She was so outgoing and friendly and never met a stranger. Jenny accepted Christ as her Savior at a young age and was a member of Morris Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded by her husband of 55 years, Frank Edward Smallen; and her parents, James L White Sr. and Lora Campbell White. She is survived by her daughters; Patti Hines, Ringgold, Ga., and Janis (Hugh) Ault, Ooltewah; granddaughter, Lorri Jordan; grandson, Tim Holder, both of Chattanooga; precious great-grandchildren, Nathan Holder, Sara Jordan and Emily Jordan; sisters, Joyce Mixson, Chattanooga, Bonnie (John) Rowe, Bridgeport, Ala.; brother, James L. (Irene) White, Pensacola, Fla.; and a niece and several nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 1 at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Pastor John Jones officiating.
