Edith Baldwin

Edith Ann Elliott Baldwin, 59, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014. She was raised in Tiftonia and has lived in Rossville for the past 30 years. Edith was of the Baptist faith and employed at Arcade Inc. She was a loving wife, mother and sister who will be greatly missed. Edith was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Gene and Wanda Lee Elliott; great-grandparents, John and Lula Hollifield; uncle, Ray D. Elliott; maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Annie Dillingham; and paternal grandparents, Richard and Ruby Elliott. She is survived by her loving husband, of almost 40 years, Douglas "Max" Baldwin; daughter, Melissa Ann Baldwin; brother, Doug (Jill) Elliott; aunt, Sandra Long; uncles, Ronnie Elliott and L.A. (Jean) Dillingham; sisters-in-law, Lillie Zimmerman, Frances Harp, and Kathleen Baldwin; brothers-in-law, Charles (Earline) Baldwin, Coy (Ellen) Baldwin, and Wayne (Kathy) Baldwin; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bobby Timms officiating. Interment will follow in Boydston Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today, all day on Friday and prior to the service on Saturday. Arrangements by W.L. Wilson and Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe Chapel.
