Jack Davis

Jack Clarke Davis, 84, of Chattanooga/Covington, Ga., passed away Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Jack retired from the telephone company in 1991. He was an avid baseball player and fan, playing in Chattanoogas City League and was recognized for his exemplary pitching abilities. He enjoyed fishing, camping, outdoor activities and traveling. He attended Lithonia First Baptist Church. Jack is survived by one brother, Charles "Chuck" and Ann Davis, Chattanooga; sisters-in-law, Estelle and Jim Harris, Ooltewah, Sarah Davis, Covington, Ga.; several nieces and nephews and many friends. A visitation service will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, at Scot Ward Funeral Services at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens. A Memorial service will be held in Chattanooga at Heritage Funeral Home at a later date. Arrangements will be announced in the Chattanooga Times Free Press.
