James Kirkling

James C. Kirkling, 86, of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and faithful member of Second Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include a devoted and loving wife of 22 years, Marvella Kirkling; children, Dirria Bell, Dennis Hampton, Jarrett Stone and Gregory Stone; cousins of Evanston, Ill., Sara Clark, Kay Solomon and Linda Young; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. Special thanks to Hospice of Chattanooga and NHC Parkwood Nursing Facility. Funeral service will be at noon Friday,Nov. 21, at Second Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Ervin officiating. The body will lie in state from noon until 8 p.m. today, Nov. 20, 2014, at the chapel. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
