Louvene Thornton White, 64, departed this life on Sunday, Nov. 15, 2014, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by family. Survivors: spouse, Napoleon White; daughter, Danielle White, Sand Leandro, Calif.; brother, Robert L. Thornton; sisters, Mary T. (Joseph) Jackson, Letitia R. Thornton and Phyllis E. Ware; nephews, Jeffrey D. Jackson, Rodney L. Thornton; niece, Natasha L Ware, all of Chattanooga. In lieu of flowers, make donations to HOPE for the Inner City, P.O. Box 11584, Chattanooga, TN 37401. Funeral services will be held at noon Friday, Nov. 21, 2014 at Friendship Central Community, 7 Tuxedo Ave., Chattanooga. Interment in National Cemetery. The body will lie in state after noon today at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
