C.D. Wright

Wright, 79, passed away Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014. He was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church where he served as deacon. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather that enjoyed his family, golf, fly fishing, and was once featured on the cover of the magazine "Field and Stream". He was preceded in death by his parents, Talmadge and Icey Wright; brother Bill Wright; sister Joan Wright. Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Betty Cooper Wright; daughter, Angie (Ron) Dean; sons, Patrick C. (Allison) Wright; Kenny (Amy) Wright; sisters, Helen Cooley, Catherine Dobbins; brothers, Jimmy (Dona) Wright, Alan (Jean) Wright; nine grandchildren, Aaron, Lindsay, Alison, Heath, Jimmy, Kathrine, Ashton, Chase and Madison; six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. EDT Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014, at Woodlawn Baptist Church, 5681 Highway 301, Trenton, GA 30752, with Brother Clay Moreland, Brother Jimmy Hixon and Brother Allen Flowers officiating. Interment will be held at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held noon-8 p.m. today at the funeral home; 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the church.
