Timothy Hayes

Timothy Lee "Tim" Hayes, 55, was surrounded by his family before peacefully leaving us for a better place on Monday, Oct. 20, 2014. As a graduate of Tyner H.S., 1977, and long time East Brainerd resident, Tim developed a vast number of friendships. He was an accomplished contractor whose professionalism and admirable disposition kept his service in demand. A large man in stature, yet dwarfed by the size of his heart. You could not like the man. Full of integrity and always there for anyone in need. Equally capable at being a comedian and the "life of the party" or the sincere, understanding man, "Lean on my shoulder and we'll get through this". He was loved by all... will be missed by all. He is survived by his wife Lura; stepdaughters, Brooke Dunwoody (Ron) and Tiffanie Kinney; stepgrandchildren, Dustin and Allyssa Dilts. He was preceded by his father, A.A. "Bug" Hayes Jr.; and brother, Larry Dean Hayes. He is survived by his mother, Dottie Hayes; brother, Mitch Hayes; nephews, Cody and Devin Hayes; many aunts, uncles, cousins and his special sisters, Sandy Lawrence, Sue Beaty, Deea Dirks and Alli Roessel. R.I.P. Tim..Will see you later. In lieu of formal services a gathering of family and friends will be held at the Heritage House at 1428 Jenkins Road (behind the Pizza Hut) off East Brainerd Road from 9 am until noon on Saturday, Oct. 25 ..Please attend..
