Ethel Miles FLAT ROCK Ethel Sims Miles, 83, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ples Miles; parents, John and Fannie Sims; sisters, Evelyn Waddell, Katherine Cooper, Doris Patterson; brothers, John Sims, Roy Sims and Arnold Sims. Survivors include her daughters, Sandy (John) Whitehouse, Debbie (Larry) Dutton; sons, Stan (Judy) Miles, Randy (Gayla) Miles; six grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. EDT today, Oct. 30, 2014, at Maxwell Cemetery, CR 414, Flat Rock, Ala., with Brother Jeff Peek officiating.
