Holly McDonald

Holly McDonald Holly Woodford McDonald, 67, of East Brainerd, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Oct. 27, 2014. Holly was active at Christ United Methodist Church where she also participated in the W.O.W. Holly received her degree in education and taught school for many years. She loved playing tennis and traveling, especially to the beach and was an avid paper crafter making personalized cards for those she loved. Holly was a volunteer with Life Care Center of East Ridge, where she served the residents and staff she loved, and Operation Homefront. She was a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts and achieved the highest level of honor in the organization. She also held membership with the Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Survivors are her husband, Bill McDonald; daughter, Christian McDonald; son, Scott McDonald and his wife, Cathy, all of Chattanooga; two loving twin grandchildren, Whit and Kate McDonald; two sisters, Sherry (Bernie) Curlee and Renee (Harold) Hughes, all of Mechanicsville, Va.; brother, Jon (Lori) Woodford, Royse City, Texas. Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Christ United Methodist Church, 8645 East Brainerd Road, with Rev. Don Allison officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 355 Trane Lane, Knoxville, TN 37919.
